UnzipIt

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

Local file handling

UnzipIt is designed so selected archive files are processed locally in your browser. Files are not uploaded to our servers for extraction.

The server hosts the website assets, including JavaScript, Web Worker, and WebAssembly files required for the tool to run.

File contents

We do not intentionally collect archive contents, extracted files, file names, passwords, or the output folder you choose in your browser.

Do not send private file contents to analytics, bug reports, or support messages unless you intentionally choose to share that information.

Browser permissions

When supported, the Save to folder feature uses your browser's File System Access API. The browser asks you to choose a folder before the site can write files there.

Some browsers block system folders or sensitive locations. This restriction is controlled by the browser for user safety.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The updated date above indicates the latest version of this page.
